{5} What's one thing that you love to eat that most people would think is weird and/or gross??
well, when we were growing up, we used to mush up our meatloaf and mix it together with our mashed potatos and peas...i did this after i got married, and my hubby was all "omg, that is AWFUL!"

pasta alfredo for the lactose intolerant..

man are things fun around here. we've taken CM off of dairy...due to chronic tummy aches. while it's helped tremendously, it hasn't completely removed the tummy aches. but, they are much less intense and less frequent, so i consider it a win!

now, the problem is how to make mac and cheese. lol yeah....so last night i made itlian sausage alfredo. delish. made it with almond milk...we have a new love. le sigh...what's that? you say Gen, where's the recipe? ah...thought you'd never ask. i only wish i'd taken pics!

Dairy free italian sausage alfredo
1 pack italian turkey sausage
flour
oil
almond milk
salt, pepper to taste
onion and garlic to taste

First, cut sausage out of the casing, brown sausage. using oil and flour, make a light roux. using milk, make white sauce. add salt, pepper, onion and garlic to taste. yum!

BSA PSA

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boy Scouts of America for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Boy Scouts of America

First let me say that the only thing I've ever done with the Boy Scouts was attend an end of summer camp event.  At the time, I was dating one of the leaders.  I have no sons, so won't be attending any meetings anytime soon...HOWEVER...

I love the Boy Scouts.  The children and adults I've known that attend or attended Scouts have impressed me.  I found when the school year started, the scouts encouraged boys, as well as rounding out a child's education, and giving supplements to education where school leaves off.

I also found that the Boy Scout way is one of health.  The Boy Scouts offer activites that encourge children to enjoy the outdoors and to exercise.

The Boy Scouts are no longer just about knot tying and camping either.  They have a new curriculum with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math.  They call it STEM.

Scouting is a huge part of the life of a scout...but not moreso than family.  Scouting supports activites that get the whole family involved.  Parents are encouraged to participate beginning as early as cub scouts.

I'm not sure I can say enough good about the Boy Scouts of America.  a worthwhile organization!Advertisement
